Dr. Judy Batker is a 1995 graduate of UW Madison and is one of our large animal doctors.  She and Dr Mahr started Country View in 1999.  She primarily practices equine medicine and surgery.

     She has a special interest in equine podiatry and lameness, reproduction, geriatric and preventive care. She also enjoys seeing llamas, alpacas, sheep and goats.  Having owned horses all her life and being intrigued by science and medicine, it was natural for Dr. Batker to want to know more about the care of horses and become a veterinarian.  Dr. Batker says the best thing about her job is "working with horses, working outside and helping horses and their owners."

     When not practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys helping her husband, Don, on their hog and crop farm, spending time with her two children, riding her horses and hiking with her dogs.
