Prepare Yourself for Medical Emergencies

Medical emergencies can happen at any time, and unfortunately, they usually occur when we least expect it.

Some common pet emergencies are seizures, poisoning, internal and/or external trauma, continual vomiting and diarrhea, eye injuries, excessive bleeding, and many more.

Having first aid supplies on hand and knowing your pet's normal heart rate, breathing rate, temperature and mucous membrane color will help you prepare for and recognize emergency situations.

Call a veterinarian immediately and then take the appropriate steps as directed by him or her.
