Puppy Preschool: This is a six week course designed to start your puppy out on the right paw. We use only positive reinforcement methods that help your puppy get excited about training! We concentrate on socialization, basic obedience skills and solving common puppy problems such as housetraining, mouthing and jumping. We also talk about ways to communicate with your puppy and how to be a humane and effective leader.
Adult Basic Obedience: This is the "boot camp" of training classes. We concentrate on the skills your dog needs to be a well behaved member of your family such as Heel, Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Come, Let Go and more. We also discuss ways to stop problem behaviors such as excessive barking, jumping, counter surfing and more!
Just as important is learning how to communicate with your dog through proper rewards and correction, leadership and effective use of body language. This class teaching you how to do all of this effectively and create a life long bond with your dog.
Adult Advanced Obedience: Advanced Obedience takes the basics to a whole new level. Our goal is to start relying less on the leash and more on verbal control as we learn more complex skills. Some of the commands we learn are stand stay, finish, front, come with a sit and more. We also use body language such as hand signals to increase control and focus.
Advanced obedience is also a Canine Good Citizen prep class. We work on the skills needed to pass the Canine Good Citizen Test and perform the test on the sixth week of class at no additional charge.
New! Board & Train: We are proud offer Board & Train as an option for training your dog. This program allows the trainer to work with your dog on a daily basis so that they learn all of the skills needed to be a well behaved family member. It begins with an individual consultation with the trainer to determine the training program that will best suit your needs and addresses any changes that should be made within your home while your dog is in training. After the training is complete there will be another session to teach you what your dog already knows!
This is an intense program and is ideal for people who have no time to train, have very specific training issues to address or have goals such as competitive obedience or therapy work.
All board and train is set up individually with the trainer.
