FALL REMINDERS

Each fall, your horse should have the boosters for influenza and rhinopneumonitis to protect against respiratory infections.

Pregnant mares need to be vaccinated at five, seven, and nine months of pregnancy for rhinopneumonitis to prevent abortion.

We recommend that you use tick repellant on yourselves and your horses when trail riding in the fall.

Finally, deworm with ivermectin+praziquantel (after a strong killing frost to kill all bot larvae your horse may have ingested in late summer).
