Dr Chris Olson grew up in Madison and graduated from the UW
school of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. An interest in science and a desire to help people led Dr. Olson into veterinary medicine. She joined CVVS in September of 2000
and is practicing small animal medicine and surgery. Dr Olson has
previously worked at an emergency clinic and other small animal practices.
Dr. Olson loves the variety of her job as a small animal veterinarian. One moment she could be performing an exploratory surgery and the next examining a sick animal or a puppy for their first visit to the vet. She enjoys surgery, critical care, internal medicine and preventive care. Her special interests consist of ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, preventive and exotic medicine.
Dr. Olson enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters ages 11 and 8. She also shares her life with her two dogs Charlie and Badger as well as Crystal the mouse. Dr. Olson enjoys the outdoors participating in many outdoor activities such as running, biking, swimming, and following her daughters to sporting events.
