Dr. Emily Leuthner

Dr. Emily Leuthner, owner and Country View's practice manager, is board certified in Large Animal Internal Medicine. She received her DVM and Masters Degree in equine immunology from the University of Wisconsin and completed her medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center. Her main interests include neurological and cardiac diseases. Her desire to understand how body systems worked led her to become a veterinarian. Dr. Leuthner enjoys combining her interest in business management with helping clients and their horses.

Prior to joining Country View Veterinary Service in 2004, Dr. Leuthner operated a solo equine practice in southern Wisconsin. She and her husband, a small animal veterinarian in Madison, have two growing boys and several pets. In her free time, Dr. Leuthner enjoys riding dressage, traveling, running and photography.

Dr. Keith Gunby

Country View Veterinary Service welcomed him in November of 2011.

Dr. Gunby has a passion for providing his patients with the safest, least painful, and most up-to-date care possible. He enjoys working with all species of companion animals and has a special interest in providing patients with minimally invasive surgical options with the aid of rigid endoscopy technology (often used in human surgical procedures such as gall bladder and appendix laparoscopy). He received advanced training in the use and application of rigid endoscopy in 2007.

Dr. Gunby is excited to provide Country View patients with a full spectrum of medical and surgical care. Dr. Gunby lives with his wife (also a veterinarian), four young children, and their many species of pets in Mount Horeb.

One moment she could be performing an exploratory surgery and the next examining a sick animal or a puppy for their first visit to the vet. She enjoys surgery, critical care, internal medicine and preventive care. Her special interests consist of ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, preventive and exotic medicine.

She and her husband, Ron, have 2 daughters, Kaitryn and Aeryn, and 2 dogs, Sansa and Badger. They all live in McFarland. She enjoys family, running, swimming, learning, and camping.
