Dr. Stephanie Hirsbrunner, a UW Madison graduate, is an avid barrel racer. She has a special interest in equine lameness and sports medicine. Dr. Hirsbrunner is a Wisconsin native and has competed nationally with her horses. When not working with horses as a veterinarian, she is usually found at the stable working horses for training and race conditioning. Dr. Hirsbrunner is also well known for her veterinary work with poultry, especially backyard chicken husbandry.

Dr. Hirsbrunner shares her Stoughton home with her fiance, her dog, Abby and her cat, Iowa. Her horses not in training live at her family's farm north of Madison.
