Dr. Larry Mahr has been practicing in Oregon for thirty years, after graduating from Iowa State University in 1966.

 He grew up on an Iowa Guernsey dairy farm, cared for a flock of sheep and helped keep a team of draft horses busy planting corn, mowing hay or pleasure riding.

 Most of his practice time has been spent on livestock farms and horse stables in the Oregon area. Dr. Mahr schedules farm appointments three mornings per week.

He lives in Oregon with with his wife, Barbara, and with Karl Frederick, their miniature dachshund.
